What is different CANoe and CANalyzer tool?

These both are most popular Testing Tool and both are from VECTOR. There are basically 2 major differences between CANoe and CANalyzer tool. CANoe is latest version and CANalyser is older version. Currently CANoe 15 is the latest version.

CANoe Supports Multi Node simulations, CANalyzer doesn't Support

If you want to simulate an entire distributed system, means multiple ECUs (multiple nodes) that is multiple nodes connected & interacting in an CAN environment then you need to choose CANoe only, whereas CANalyser supports simulating a single node. So for a distributed system you can only simulate a single node and rest of the nodes must be connected physically.

CANoe has GRAPHICAL PANELS, while CANalyzer doesn't support
CANoe has a unique feature of graphic panels. you can create buttons, sliders, checkboxes and also monitor them graphically. You will be able to monitor signals and change in values graphically and measure the timings. You can also make use of such graphic panels in a CAPL program by associating them with environment variables.

  • Monitoring change in signal values graphically
  • Measure the timing for each change in signal value.
  • Comparing values of different signals at same time.
  • Comparing / measuring the Timing requirement for state machines, protocol requirements etc.,
